Pottery

We have a wide variety and unique examples of various styles, processes and techniques in clay. Many of the works involve incising into the clay to achieve bold graphic lines of texture. Images are often inspired by the rich landscape and trees here in the Sierras. These are high-fired vessels of porcelain. Another style of ceramics showing in the gallery are “Pit-Fired” pots and sculpture where vessels are fired in the earth using this ancient technique.
