Sierra Artists Annual Open Art Exhibition

The Open Annual Show occurs in the Autumn of each year. Local as well as artists from afar submit their works for juried selection. Cash awards are given in various categories. All entries are considered.

September 11th – 24th , 2023

Eligibility: This is an open exhibition with prizes awarded in each category. Artists 18 and over are invited to participate.
Work submitted must be original art by the artist, for sale or marked NFS and not shown in a previous Sierra Artists Gallery Annual Open Show.

Restriction: We do not accept solely computer-generated art. No accepted entry may be removed before the end of the show unless pre-arranged. The Gallery reserves the right to exclude

inappropriate subject matter, sub-standard work or inadequately framed artwork.

Categories: Judging will take place and cash awards will be given in each of the Five MEDIUM categories executed by the artist’s choice of
subject and skill, plus People’s Choice and Best of Show.

2. Watercolor
3. Pastel/Colored Pencil
4. Photography
5. Specialty

(Any other medium or art form, I.e. ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, fiber art, collage, wood carving, etc.)\

Framing: All work must be presentation ready. All watercolor, drawings and mixed media must be under glass or Plexiglass. Gallery wrapped
canvas (painted canvas extends around to the back of stretcher bars) is acceptable. Appropriate strength wire ONLY across back of art piece if
2 dimensional is required. No saw tooth hangers please.

Labeling: Work must have the following information firmly attached to the back of each piece: Title, Medium, Price, Artist’s’ Name,
Address, Phone and Email. This may be filled out at time of delivery with provided Gallery Form.
Entry fees: $20 per submission, $45 for three; for gallery members $15 per submission and three for $30. All works must be for sale or
marked NFS. The Gallery will take 30% commission on non-Gallery member sales. Entry fees are non-refundable and must accompany the
entry form below.

Awards Reception: Artists, buyers and patrons are invited to the Artists Awards and Reception on Sept.17, 1-3 pm at the gallery.

Delivery and Pick-Up: All entries must be deliver by hand to Sierra Artists’ Gallery on September 3, 4, 5 and 7, 8, 9 between 11am and 6pm.
Unsold entries used in the show may be picked up September 25, 26 and 28, 29 between 11am to 6pm.

Gallery Hours:  Thurs.-Tuesday, 11am – 6pm. The gallery will be open daily during the show.

Application, fee and delivery         September  3-9 (except Wednesday Sept.6) between 11am and 6pm
Exhibition Opens                             September 11, OPEN DAILY through September 24 from 11am – 6pm
Awards Reception                            September 17, 1-3pm at the gallery
Show Closes                                      September 24, 6pm
Art Pickup                                          September 25, 26 and 28, 29 between 11am and 6pm

Art not picked up by September 29 becomes the property of the gallery.

All entires must be mailed in to be consiered.
